Sally recommends this new hymn which reminds us of the hope we find in Christ. It’s by Keith and Kristyn Getty and has been written just this year.

John’s favourite Hymn for Easter, is a classic written by John Newton, most famous for the hymn Amazing Grace. Having been a slave trader, guilty or utter inhumanity, Newton was powerfully saved through faith in Christ. This hymn speaks of the joy of knowing that Christ has died as a substitute so that all may be forgiven.

Lana’s favourite hymn right now is in Christ alone. When anxiety, fear or doubt hit, this hymn reminds us that Jesus has conquered everything that can trouble us. It is written by Written by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend.

Tim is inspired right now by the song, Because He lives.. Which reminds us that because Jesus is alive, we can face tomorrow without fear. A number of facebook posts suggest that the hymn is finding huge resonance with many in this difficult time, particularly in Spanish speaking countries.

Mike has often described this one as his favourite. It was written in 1913 by George Bennard, a Methodist minister in America. it describes the life of the Christian, encouraged by Jesus to “take up your cross and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24)

One of Christine’s favourite hymns is “I know that my redeemer lives”, the most famous verse of Jessie Brown Pounds
